About Us

About 3 years ago I started this website after perfecting the technique of bump firing my Rock River Arms LAR15 9mm from the shoulder. Bump Firing is a technique that allows a person to manipulate the trigger of a semi-automatic firearm fast enough, equal to the rate of fire of real M16 machine gun. This technique maintains legal status with the BATFE because the gun still remains semi-auto, and the trigger is functioned once for every round fired. The main purpose of this website is to give the average law abiding person the chance to own a firearm that can accurately mimic the rate of fire of a real machine gun. Machine guns have been banned for civilian manufacture since May of 1986 meaning that if you want to own the real thing, you better start playing the lottery. Thanks to the Hughes Amendment that was snuck into the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 the price of a $1000 machine gun then, is about $14,000 today. Many people would like to see this law repealed. I am one of those people, but until then I will just have to pretend.

Bump-firing is a fun way to simulate shooting a machine gun when done in a safe way. Poormans-Machinegun.com does not recommend anyone attempt the low at the hip method of bump firing, this technique results in poor control, and next to no accuracy. Keep in mind that you are responsible for 100% of the rounds you put down range. Content of this website is for entertainment only! People who live in states that do not allow machine guns should not try this. If you chose to attempt the technique featured on this website you do so at your own risk.
